I had a similar situation a few years back. Work for a US offshore drilling company and was sent to Stavanger Norway to assist with operations. I was going to be gone for a minimum of 4 months. I had asked a couple that we have known to see that my wife was taken care of in all of her needs. Wife understood this as well. To keep his wife from becoming jealous, I asked that she always be there with my wife and him.
