Bisexuality is rather looked at with suspicion in many gay communities. So I don't find it strange that some 90% lesbians want to look like 100% ones, in particular if they are pursuing relationships...
The problem is that people confuse the physical sexuality with the emotional sexuality.
EVERYONE is capable of, and many enjoy, having sex with people of either or both genders. Your proclivity here is what most people use to label you as straight, gay or bi. If most people were really honest about their sexual desires, most would find that they fall into the bi category.
However, it is really your preference of EMOTIONAL sexuality that truly determines your status. If you are capable of only having romantic (NOT necessarily sexual) feelings for some one of the same or opposite genders, that pretty much ball parks you as straight or gay/lesbian. If you are fortunate enough to truly be able to embrace both genders as romantic partners, then you are bi in the truest sense of the concept.
It is entirely possible for a male or female to be exclusively straight or gay/lesbian emotionally (romantically) and yet be bi-sexual in the physical sense.
Many people assert that if you have had sex with a member of the same gender you are gay even if you have no emotional attachment to anyone of the same sex. OK, what then of someone who is hopelessly EMOTIONALLY in love with someone of the same gender and yet has never had sex with a member of the same gender? Are they straight???
I have only been able to relate romantically with women even though I have enjoyed sex with both men and women. While I might "love" the cock, I haven't as yet ever fallen in love with the man it was attached to. In fact, I have a very strong aversion to romantic interaction with males. The thought of kissing another man, swapping spit and sucking each others tongues is a total turn off to me, yet taking a Black Man's Cock into my mouth, sucking and licking it until he spurts his ejaculate and then swallowing THAT down is not only NOT repulsive, I find it highly desireable. Go figure.
Depending on your point of view, I am bisexual, straight with bisexual tendencies or gay.
Personally, if one really needs to have a label, I would prefer to simplify mine as being an emotionally straight white male with cocksucking tendencies for Black Cock.
I truly envy those very few of us that are intersexed bisexuals. Imagine not needing a label simply because you are all. Being 100% rather than limited.
