There are clues in that photo you should try and use before you take the more drastic step of showing her the photo.

For instance, look in her closet and see if she has a sweater that matches the one with baby blue/green stripes that the woman is wearing in the photo. Also, look in her current kitchen or house and see if there is anything that matches the red and black item sitting on the counter in the background of the photo. It looks like it could be a mini fire extinguisher decorated with a black hood or cape. (It's very near the oven where such a fire extinguisher might be placed.)

Finally, look through her old photo albums, if she has any, and see if there are any pictures there taken in her old apartment kitchen. Chances are she may have one or two.

The real key is the kitchen. If you can prove that is her former kitchen, then you know for sure it's her.

Don't show her the photo until you've tried all of this. Because it could really backfire on you.

A lot of kitchens have a more-or-less standard appearance, especially in apartments, so I wouldn't attach much significance to that.
