Well done the f*cking moron who has managed to spam a whole 8 pages of posting 'Private Porn Pictures'. We are so impressed and wish you every success in your endeavour ... not.

PS - Correction, it's still going on. Another 3 posts since I wrote!

Curt, I'm with you unfortunately some people just can't get on or stay with the program. Hopefully they will blocked. GTR

I report them, go to their PROFILE page and upper right corner is a REPORT button. There are a bunch of similar avatars all do the same thing, same link

Tried that a few times. Every time, there is another profile with the same kind of behaviour

They are very tiresome
 
One of the advantages to this site is when you click on "ignore" you don't see their posts at all.
Of course when a mod blocks them, it's better. I'd love to be able to redirect them to their own spam whenever they try to log in or post so they get caught in their own loop.
 
It's definitely frustrating. I'm sure Dig420 is probably pretty tired of it also.
 
I'm pretty sure it's a bot. No human is so dumb to waste time putting a hundred posts exactly the same like that.

I just keep reporting them. THe link is the same, if they had any sophistication they'd ban anything with that link inside it, but I guess thats expecting too much.
 
The subject line is always ' Private Porn Pictures' It would be easy to write a script that would detect this and ban the user.
But I agree it is annoying. Especially on a phone.
 
I dont remember when I first created an account if it was required or not, but wouldn't requiring a Captcha to create an account solve this issue?

Good suggestion but the moron would only have to create a count once and then have at her with a bot.

They have a database of some thousands of ids all will start with Capital Letter and as google has removed support from recaptcha version 1 hence the security of those forums are weak a bit as if you type anything be it ab or ed or fj anything it will accept as it is not more a security feature.

Here it seems the Admins are not banning those Ids from admin panel and waiting for them to post and violate the rules so that they can be banned.

Admins need to stop them from registering and to increase the number of moderators who are active enough to clear the mess these spammers are creating.

Again I think they need to employ some A.I. here or a simple j-script to block them. They all have My private porn photos here-----> in the subject line. I think it would be simple. I'm not so sure it's a bot as they target two sections only. DDNS is not that selective. I suspect it's kids having fun. No respectful business who was trying to attract customers to their site would do this. It would simply piss off prospective clients.
I think this sight was created with vBulletin or some other BB software. which has been around for a very long time and should have some safeguards against this activity. I, like you, don't think there are many admins here. I think they are simply overwhelmed. Khristy is doing a fantastic job. JMO

You know - it's quite easy. Just disallow posts with less than a minute between them or something simple like that - no AI or anything needed.

You are spot on Steve. Another site I am on has a time interval for posting. It has worked very well at keeping this electronic refuse away.

Phrase is usually 'Private Porn Pictures'

A spammer may manage to bypass the automated registration checks and successfully register. A second line of defence can be added to prevent them from submitting their spam content. These options are found in the Spam Management group and are new to XenForo 1.2.

  • Spam phrases can be defined. If any of a user's first few messages matches theses phrases, an action can be taken. For example, some spammers submit messages with "watch film name online". We can match that with "watch * online" and simply block the message.

you are old user and has gone through this thread but many new users are there who are not aware of these rules....they can be blocked immediately.

This is the risk of any filter. The account can be unblock later. Remember this filter applies to new users and their first couple of posts. I think very few legit users would be caught.

Right now bots are fairly low level of suffocation. Ya they can get past some of the roadblocks that the webmaster puts up for them. But they will only become more adaptive and sophisticated.
