Too many GIF'S slow down my computer!

Can not get anyone to answer any questions about the board or the problems with posting....

maybe someone might notice this!

I gather pics from tumbler and when I hit a site with GIF's it slows down my computer taking longer to gather pics... if I hit a site loaded with GIF's some times it will literally freeze my computer to the point I have to shut off and restart... I am sure some computers can handle a page full of GIF's with no problem... this computer I am using is less than a year old... but it won't handle to many... starts working slow... the bigger and more the GIF"s the slower it works!

making it very hard to try and do much.... like post pics!

anyone else have similar problems?

One thing to consider about loading a page with lots of GIFs is your network speed. A GIF may be many times the size of a JPEG. If you have a page full of GIFs trying to load at the same time a slow connection will make your computer seem to pause while they load.
