Wife going out

I was just sitting musing. My first wife had a regular lover who would ring and ask if she wanted to go over. Sometimes I would answer the phone and just hand it to her. She would always ask" Is it OK if I go out tonight?" Of course I always said yes, but I think deep down inside I wanted to say no and hear her say that she was going anyway. I never had the guts to test it that far.
