I was always led to believe that the Hawai'ian Shaka symbol consisted of the pinkie and thumb extended accompanied by a rocking motion. As a Surfer Chick growing up in California, it was quite popular.
I have seen the index finger and pinkie extended both in UT and Rock settings, and while UT has a long history, the Rock application is about mid-80s if I remember correctly.
The Italians have used the same sign for a Cuckold for quite some time. I believe they call it the Corna sign or something like that. Whoa,,,that’s not the case at all, it seems to me we’re both saying the same thing, with the exception of my incorrectly giving credit to Ozzy,,,but with them both being in Black Sabbath at one time, it’s an easy mistake to make. However,,,I could ask the same thing about you when it comes to most of the clubbing pix and Saturday night pix you have with women flashing that sign, we differ in our beliefs about whether or not that’s being used as a symbol for rock and roll, I feel it’s easier to believe that‘s what most of them women are signifying rather than suddenly hundreds of women are cuckolding their husbands. Don’t get me wrong, the practice has increased over the years and has become more open and mainstream, but a lot of those women are fairly young, not sporting wedding rings, and are probably screaming rock and roll to the cameraman.subhub174014 said:

well glad we got this all worked out.....although there are a couple other hand signals you see that didn't get covered......and curious about them....one being the two end fingers extended....and the 2 middles ones crossed.....see that a bunch also....but....unless someone knows...guess we will just have to look at the pics
