A hopefully balanced point of view.
One of my son-in-laws is very black, second generation African origin and he is a really fantastic individual. My daughter first went out with him despite his colour not because of it, after 18 years together they still adore each other and he treats her as a princess. He works two jobs but conforms to the image in that he is a weight lifter and one of his employments is as a night club bouncer.
I boycotted South Africa for over thirty years due to apartheid and supported the American civil rights movement, so I believe I have good non racial credentials. Even so, I studiously avoid reading erotic fiction where interracial content is indicated. I write my own stories, (well received in places), and occasionally feature black male characters but take care to always keep his skin colour incidental to rather than the main motivation behind the tale.
I detest the glorification of the black male ghetto stereotype found in too many stories and postings and it is in this specific area that I have sympathy with Masterlover’s original post.
