Last night on the Rachel Maddow on MSNBC she was doing a story about Sen. John Ensign (RNev) and she referred to his Mistress’s husband as the cuckolded husband. Sen. Ensign is under investigation for trying to get the husband a job as a lobbyist.

Ensign, Zack Wamp, Governor Sanford, and a slew of righty traditionalists are part of a pseudo Christian organization known as the family and occupy a former convent (I think) building in D.C. Their putative leader has told them that they are God's cho$en people and suggests that they can make up their own rules as they go along. Since these 'brothers' in Christ have the awesome responsibility to reshape the modern world as they perceive God has guided them, they are entitled to a little R&R on the extracurricular front. The screwing around is much less offensive than presuming to be the mouthpiece and one true way to/from God.

And, of course, Ensign is purely altruistic in getting people jobs. He intends to branch out and ultimately get a job for every unemployed citizen...one American at a time. Economic crisis averted!

The husband is not a cuckold.

He is a pimp and whores his wife in exchange for favours.

Rachel Madow terrifies me. What a brilliant dyke.

Not sure how anyone can sit through her show though, what a borefest.

This is very disturbing stuff. It is so sad when prominant men who trumpet their Christian faith fall. However, we are all sinners and I have no right to judge.

However, in the political arena they have been distroyed and I cannot say I am unhappy. I am so tired of the "religious right" and their "family values". I am a Christ follower and don't feel their actions represent Christianity in any way. I cannot speak for my Savior in any way, but I would be surprised if he were happy with any follower trying to enact laws to force people to behave in any way. We are commanded to love our neighbor regardless of his sins and to gently encourage others. So, I hope they will get back to studying the Word and that they are forgiven and have a wonderful life outside of politics.

It sounds like "The Family" was chartered with good intentions and probably has done much good around the world. If they have grown into a group that feels they speak for the Lord and yet encourage behaviors that are not Biblical then they will fall.

I think Rachel Maddow is a very smart, very beautiful woman and a formidable speaker for the far left. I don't agree with her on much but I do enjoy watching/listening to her talk.

The husband was originally ******* of the affair. So that dose make him a cuck but what has happen since makes all three of the scum. With the biggest scumbag being the Sen Ensign

Well, that certainly is a confused opinion.

I'm definately Not a sinner, this is another group of loony people trying to force their views on to us,or "persuade" us that we are sinners,as with Christianity it's all about the money.
She is actualy on the far RIGHT,i'm insulted to think this woman is associated with anything on the left. You will no doubt be aware that your Christ alledgedly preached Socialism

as a fan of Rachel Maddow you surely have never watched her show she is like i am a proud liberal. Since when does MSNBC of any one on that is from the far right.

This thread should not really be about the her or christianty or any other religion, but about the use of cuckold in main stream media

Indeedy cuckold newsworthy. But did the hubby get off on it? Susan's slave did not say anything that bad as I read it.

Politics and religion are probably the only two subjects more interesting than sex Carina!

Fiona, thank you for your usual "educated" opinion. :)

Politics and religion more interesting than sex?
I think that says it all really,in my household the ONLY thing that is important is sex, politics and religion are a very poor second.
Thank YOU for pepering any debate with your hard line religious views and always assuming that you are right and your own particular god is is the only way to go,and also assuming that we give a damn about calling us sinners:)

agreed, she has the intelligence of a door knob.

I am not particularly a fan of Madow, not because I don't think she's smart, talented and knowledgeable, but because like most of the TV and radio personalities, she is nearly always biased (in her case to the left). I like commentators who think for themselves. I shouldn't be able to predict their opinions, at least not every time.

But back to the subject at hand. He was obviously a cuckold, just not a voluntary one like many on this site. It's one thing to live a minority lifestyle and another thing to throw away the dictionary.

i wish more peeps on here would take a cue from me
and argue and insult one another less ..............tip: avoid
politics and religion as topics of discussion and concentrate
on the physical shortcomings of the clowns who disagree with you

A smart and beautiful woman... yes. A formidable speaker... yes. Enjoying watching and listening to her speak... yes. But, I'd say she's a centrist.

Me neither. Most religions, of course, define sex as "sinful" because everyone does it. I mean, it's necessary for procreation of our species, right...? Since everyone does it, everyone is "sinful." Ergo, everyone needs to believe in their tribal religion, and especially give money to their tribal church hierarchy, in hopes they'll be "absolved" and have their "sins forgiven" (by the unseen voyeur in the sky whom no one can communicate with, but whom they "believe" monitors their every thought and action).

It's a brilliant racket.

.... You will no doubt be aware that your Christ allegedly preached socialism.

Christ, you say... hm... is there convincing proof he even existed? Not to my knowledge. If he did, is there convincing proof he existed as presented in the New Testament? Not to my knowledge.

But, moving on... socialism, you say... ya' know, here in the U.S. we have Social Security. It's a program that provides modest... actually, quite small... pensions to the elderly, thereby going a long way toward alleviating poverty during old age. Right wingnuts (who benefit from it, along with everyone else) have been trying to get rid of it ever since it was first enacted in 1935.

It's hard to avoid suspecting the most basic problem is the program name, which seems uncomfortably close to "socialism security" which, in turn, brings to mind "socialism," the mere mention of which causes right wingnuts to foam at the mouth.

Thus, the most obvious way to "fix" the supposed long-term financial problems of Social Security (which are mostly fictional, in any case) is for someone to introduce a bill in the Senate to change the program name to Capitalism Security. Who could object? After all, the S.S. checks mailed out to seniors each month are spent on consumer goods, thereby keeping the gears of capitalism whirring. Voila! The strenuous objections of right wingnuts to Social Security would vanish.

But, I digress... what does all this have to do with women cuckolding their husbands? Nothing, I suppose...

I also like Rachel Maddow.
IMO, she is one of the most intellegent and knowledgeable people in broadcasting.

I'm no going to lable myself as a liberal or conserative.
I will just say that I seek the truth, not lies from broadcasters who are blatent puppets of the right wing lunitic fringe.

Agreed.

Labeling yourself is generally not a great idea. If you were to do that, you'd feel constrained to make sure everything you said subsequently was consistent with your label. It's better to just say what you think.

You sound like an unusually discriminating listener.
