Dangerous times
The thing that is most striking to me about old interracial porn photo's is the mortal danger that these men (not so much for the woman) were placing themselves in by the taking of them.
Every time that I see a real photo that was taken in the late 1900's to the end of the second world war, I can't help but think about how brave the black man was to allow himself to be photographed nude with a white woman. If they had ever gotten out or he had been recognized the chances were high that he would have been killed in some hateful, brutal, manor.
I guess it just goes to show that even though our society is not completely past it's racial past, we are evolving and coming together slowly. It just makes me marvel at our openness to racial blending now as compared with then.

I can remember when I was young, hearing my mopm and grandma joking about how would I like to have a little black brothet or sister. I did not undrstand at the time but it makes so much more sense now. I just wish I had some pics of what they must have been doing
Very true, but in most cases it wouldn't have included a rope or shotgun. They may have become outcasts and the talk of the town but rarely were women killed for their participation.

Whereas the U.S. Government didnt allow black soldiers much visibility eg forbidden from celebrations in Paris after liberation, France welcomed with open arms its returning soldiers, many of whom were from Africa.
This was a period of tolerance and gratitude to all those who fought for liberation.

I think everyone has always seen interracial as very erotic and sexual. I don't think it was any different back in the day. The only difference was that you couldn't openly express your feelings about it honestly as a white male. I always think the hatred was all for show because as a white male a white women with a black man represents your loss of sexuality. I think what made white men mad about it was being left out but it always turned most white men on inside. Being more forbidden in society does make it hotter.
In European countries blacks where always seen as very unique and a novelty. As far back as WWI, black GI's had many opportunities as most white european women where very curious about them. In WWII, many englishwomen, frenchwomen and german girls all had many experiences with black soldiers showing preference for them much to the dismay of white GI's. I have some interesting pages about interracial between black men and white women from WWI and WWII. It wasn't so uncommon as you might think.
